It’s the Taxes Stupid - Taxes and Our Government’s Agenda

It’s no mystery, its economic 101, the chart above says it all. Taxes destroy/prevent prosperity. It is also a proven historic fact that our government collects more in taxes from lower tax rates. Why? Because, people like to be rewarded for their work, and are more inclined to seek prosperity when they allowed to keep it.

The question is, why does the government keep imposing more and more taxes? One answer is that they want to destroy prosperity. Why? Because, out-of-work people are dependent on government. This is in turn justifies more government. And the banks that run our government are able to buy up the country for pennies on the dollar. Greed knows no bounds, even if it means killing the golden goose.

Our country has historically been prosperous because of limited government and limited taxes. Also, during our prosperous run, we didn't have a central bank inflating our currency, and robbing us of the value of our savings.

I have a suggestion that would turn the economy around immediately. Drop the capital gains tax and then every company in the world would be here tomorrow, ready to invest, create jobs, rebuild our manufacturing base, and create prosperity.

I know of only one person in congress who understands all this. That person is Ron Paul. Let’s get the other Paul into the senate, and we can start to repair this country.
